CORNELL & PETRICELLI

Agrees with the Tomatometer 60% of the time.

Biography: We have an About Us section at CinemaSense.Com™ that tells more about who we are and why we review movies. We formed Cornell & Petricelli by marriage in June, 1998. Our entertainment, relationship, and perspective have been shaped by stories we have experienced through movie houses and TV. We believe that, at their best, movies form cinematic parables. They provide metaphorical, dramatized experience of the psychological and spiritual stuff by which we cognize possibility in our lives. If we have no model for new ways of being, if we don’t know what they feel like, we will not adopt them. We find that almost any well made movie has some element of importance that elucidates some aspect or issue that we deal with in our private thoughts, in our intimate relationships, in our work and social world, in our political and environmental interactions, in our spiritual connection and consciousness. We hope that our reviews will promote the understanding of the films we share with you as well as improve the conscious process by which these films are made.
Favorites: OURS TITANIC (We watched in so many times we lost count.) Amadeus, Bridges of Madison County, Life Is Beautiful, My Fair Lady, Ordinary People, Pretty Woman, Roman Holiday, Secret of Roan Inish, Sixth Sense, and Tootsie. ANNA-MARIA'S Deer Hunter, (Bram Stoker’s) Dracula, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, Laura, Much Ado About Nothing (1993), "Now, Voyager", and Prince of Tides. CRAIG'S Aliens, As Good As It Gets, Babette’s Feast, Braveheart, It's a Wonderful Life, Lion King, Quiet Man, Schindler’s List, Sleepless in Seattle, A Town Like Alice (1981 mini-series).
