SEAN O'CONNELL

Agrees with the Tomatometer 71% of the time.

Biography: In one of those "your peanut butter is in my chocolate" moments of enlightenment, Sean O'Connell realized almost 10 years ago that he could combine his love of movies with his tolerance for writing, and maybe even make a living of it. He's still trying, and the good people at USA Today, MSN, Citysearch, The Charlotte Weekly, NBC, CBS and others have helped. Sean was weaned on Elm Street flicks, schooled on Hitchcock, spoiled by Donner and betrayed by the Coreys. And through it all, the original Die Hard remains his favorite film. Born and raised in New York, Sean calls Charlotte, North Carolina home and is a 2003 inductee into both the Online Film Critics Society and the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
Favorites: Die Hard North By Northwest Singing in the Rain Back To The Future (trilogy) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid/The Sting Jaws/E.T./Jurassic Park Ferris Bueller's Day Off (hell, the entire Hughes cannon) Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore Some Like It Hot Dancer in the Dark The Apartment/Sunset Blvd. Toy Story (I & II) The Philadelphia Story Garden State Fight Club/The People Vs. Larry Flynt/Rounders (the Norton trilogy) Shadow of a Doubt Swingers Anything by Lars von Trier

Publications: Charlotte Weekly, Citysearch, Eclipse Magazine, Filmcritic.com, Flipside Movie Emporium, MovieWeb, Reel.com

Critics' Group: Online Film Critics Society
