1/5 31% As Above/So Below (2014) " This is a terrible film. Just an ugly, disappointing exercise that actually had potential, if it somehow could have landed in the hands of a director who understood the function of a camera. " — CinemaBlend.com

1.5/5 37% The November Man (2014) " The cinematic equivalent of a Golden Parachute, a paycheck role in a burgeoning franchise that may pad Brosnan's retirement fund but asks very little - in terms of performance - from its rugged, disinterested lead." — CinemaBlend.com
Posted Aug 27, 2014
2/5 39% If I Stay (2014) " Like the car riding along that snowy road, the movie starts to swerve into uncomfortably melodramatic territories, and it isn't long before any forward progress established by director R.J. Cutler smashes into an embankment, as well. " — CinemaBlend.com

3/5 69% What If (2014) " 'What If' is 'When Harry Met Sally...' for the current generation. I guess you could call it 'When Harry Potter Met Zoe Kazan....' Has anyone used that yet? No? Good, then I'm stealing it. " — CinemaBlend.com

3.5/5 32% The Giver (2014) " Jeff Bridges is so amusingly philosophic in the spectacular role of mentor and sage - the overly experienced veteran who has so much to share with his younger cast mates but needs to pick and choose his moments. " — CinemaBlend.com

3/5 41% Wish I Was Here (2014) " There's whimsy that could have landed on the cutting room floor. Braff would realize that, if he were cranking out reflective melodramas like this once every other year, instead of once every other decade. " — CinemaBlend.com

5/5 99% Boyhood (2014) " It's a wonder, on every level, that a movie like Boyhood can exist. It's even more amazing that it can be as good as it is, while coming together under impossible odds." — CinemaBlend.com

4/5 90% Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (2014) " This groundbreaking, challenging and immensely rewarding sequel offers audiences a veritable feast consisting of mature science-fiction themes, complex emotional performances (both human and digital), and riveting combat set pieces. " — CinemaBlend.com

2/5 53% Jersey Boys (2014) " A dull film, and that betrays the doo-wop energies and disgruntled behind-the-scenes dramas that helped make Jersey Boys such a beloved story for countless theater audiences. " — CinemaBlend.com

3/5 85% Borgman (2014) " Borgman burrows under our skins by being different. Ironically, the fact that it's so different might scare the bulk of its potential audience away. " — CinemaBlend.com

3/5 14% Blended (2014) " Blended... will appeal to a proven audience who appreciate what Sandler and Barrymore do together, and might even surprise a few skeptics who dismissed the 47-year-old comedian as a viable leading man." — CinemaBlend.com
