    Abandon (2002)

" The biggest problem with Abandon is that all of the buildup ... is seriously boring, disjointed, unfocused, and not interesting in the least."

    Jackass: The Movie (2002)

" Every year, the Darwin Awards are presented to people who die in incredibly stupid (and funny) ways. ... I'm convinced that we'll see one of these guys receiving one ..."

    8 Mile (2002)

" With such a success in theaters, and a strong following of fans, one would expect Universal to go all-out with the DVD release of the film. Too bad we get a great looking and sounding DVD that's a bit lacking in the extras department."

    Moonlight Mile (2002)

" Moonlight Mile features great performances by its small cast, and remains an honest and very focused drama. The entire focus of the story is about three people dealing with, and moving on from, a big loss ..."

    The Bourne Identity (2002)

" I was surprised by The Bourne Identity. It's a great spy flick with some cool action sequences and a fun story. The DVD features a solid transfer, and excellent Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks."

    The Tuxedo (2002)

" Why was this movie made? Honestly. I mean, who thought it'd be a good idea to slap Jackie Chan into a high-tech tuxedo in spy-movie spoof?"

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

" It was nice to watch a lighthearted comedy that has more heart behind it than most of the 'comedic' drivel that seems to always snag the #1 spot in the box office from week to week."

    Road to Perdition (2002)

" Conrad Hall's distinctive cinematography is carried through to DVD nearly perfectly. The drab colors and almost black & white look of the film looks great in this anamorphic transfer."

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)

" Honestly, what more could you ask for? In addition to getting the extended cut of the film with four commentary tracks and a new DTS ES mix for the film; there's two more discs packed full of documentary material that runs for more than six hours."

    Spirited Away (2002)

" To call any film a masterpiece is a strong statement. It's especially hard as so many of Studio Ghibli's films could be called masterpieces. But, above all of the achievements from that animation studio, Spirited Away truly stands out."

    The Ring (2002)

" Despite the movie's success, Dreamworks has given it a rather bare-bones presentation with just a new fifteen-minute short by Verbinski included on the disc. It's a shame, as this is otherwise a pretty impressive DVD with a gorgeous transfer."

    Below (2002)

" As legend has it, Below was originally in the hands of Darren Aronofsky, before being completed by Pitch Black's David Twohy. Aronofsky's influence definitely shows through in this underrated horror flick ..."

    K-19: The Widowmaker (2002)

" After a somewhat decent performance in the box office and an equally decent reception from critics, Paramount has given this Russian submarine thriller a nice little special edition on DVD."
