Run for the "Hills" Game! Creeepy.... Opens in new window
Normally an online game/promotional piece wouldn't be all that newsworthy, even if it is one hosted by IGN Filmforce. But since I keep hearing how good "The Hills Have Eyes" remake is, and because I've been playing it for about a half hour, I thought it'd be cool to share with you the Run for the Hills game over at IGN. It's basically "Doom" with mutants and a shotgun, but it's also pretty fun and actually kinda spooooky. More...

Trailer Bulletin: The Hills Have Eyes & When a Stranger Calls Opens in new window
There's been a bona-fide explosion of new movie trailers over the past week or two ... but this is the only one I've watched more than once, because I'm a desperately sick horror junkie. Hardcore gorehounds are obviously familiar with Wes Craven's classic "The Hills Have Eyes," and now comes the very first trailer for the remake by "High Tension" director Alexandre Aja. And it's pretty darn cool. More...

"The Hills Have" ... a Nifty New Poster Opens in new window
OK, so it's only a little piece of news about a simple little poster, but for some reason I'm feeling pretty psyched about the upcoming remake of "The Hills Have Eyes," hence my geekery regarding the brand-new one-sheet posted over at the Fangoria website. More...

"Hills" Remake Too Intense for an R Rating! Opens in new window
Those who bemoan the current state of PG-13-ish horror (like me) should find this report from Empire Online to be an equal dose of good news and bad. The upcoming remake of "The Hills Have Eyes" has recently received an NC-17 from the MPAA, and producer Wes Craven is required to deliver an R. So it's back to the editing booth for director Alex Aja ... at least until the DVD comes out. More...

Stanford, Levine & Several Others Head for the "Hills" Opens in new window
The Hollywood Reporter brings us the full cast list for the upcoming remake of Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes." Filming begins rather soon, and director Alexandre Aja ("High Tension") finally has his cast all picked out: Aaron Stanford ("X-Men 2"), Vinessa Shaw ("40 Days and 40 Nights"), Ted Levine ("Silence of the Lambs"), and Kathleen Quinlan ("Apollo 13") are among the family members who'll be terrorized by nefarious mountain folk.
