Alyson Rae Stoner (born August 11 1993 in Toledo, Ohio) is an American actress and dancer. She has two older sisters, Correy and Jamiee, and her parents are LouAnn Hughes and Charlie Stoner. Her stepfather is John Hughes and her stepmother is Kay Stoner. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1997.

Biography

Early life

Alyson Stoner trained at the O'Connell Dance Studio (in Holland, Ohio) and the Margaret O'Brien Modeling Studio. Consequently, she received several awards for acting, modeling, and dance (including the award for best model of the year at the IMTA convention). After choreography training in Los Angeles, Stoner appeared as a background dancer in music videos for Missy Elliott and Eminem, and danced with a dancing group called the JammXKids between 2004 and 2006. She quit the group in early 2006 due to scheduling conflicts and disagreements with the managers and was quickly replaced with Lauren Briana. She currently attends Rancho Pico Junior High in Stevenson Ranch.

Career

In 2002, Alyson became the co-host of the Disney Channel's Mike's Super Short Show, an infomercial segment regarding forthcoming Disney releases. She was also one of the dancers in the Special Features for the Shark Tale DVD. In 2003 and 2005, she appeared as one of the twelve Baker children in the successful comedies Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. She has also appeared in several television shows aimed at the pre-teen market, including Drake & Josh, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and That's So Raven, and auditioned for the role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana for the Disney Channel Original Series Hannah Montana. Miley Cyrus got the role instead. In 2007, Alyson will be starring in the movie Alice, based on the best selling Alice series by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. Summer 2007, she will be the voice of Isabella in the new Disney Channel animated series, Phineas and Ferb.
