Wyss started out with teenaged supporting roles in such efforts as Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1981) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). On a more adult level, she made an excellent impression as an imperiled homesteader in the 1985 "retro" Western Silverado. TV fans know Amanda Wyss best as reporter Randi McFarland on the first season (1992-1993) episodes of the syndicated favorite Highlander. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Quotes from Amanda Wyss's Characters

    1. Tina Gray: All day long I've been seeing that guy's weird face and hearing those fingernails.
    2. Nancy Thompson: Fingernails? That's amazing you saying that. That made me remember the dream I had last night.
    3. Tina Gray: What did you dream?
    4. Nancy Thompson: I dreamed about a guy in a dirty red and green sweater.
    5. Tina Gray: Well what about the fingernails?
    6. Nancy Thompson: Well he scraped his fingernails along things. Actually they were more like finger-knives or something. Something he'd made himself. They made a horrible sound, scrrrreeeeeech.

    1. Rod Lane: (after tackling Glen on the lawn) It's Rod Lane, bringing Lantz down, just three yards from the goal line! What a brilliant tackle and the crowd goes wild!
    2. Tina Gray: What the hell are you doing here?
    3. Rod Lane: Came to make up. No big deal. Your mom home?
    4. Tina Gray: Of course. Oh, what's that?
    5. Rod Lane: Intense, huh? (pulls out a tool and makes a screeching sound) So what's going on here. An orgy or something?
    6. Glen Lantz: Maybe your funeral, di*khead. [Rod pulls out a switchblade in anger]
    7. Nancy Thompson: It's just a sleepover, Rod; Tina and me. Glen was just leaving.
    8. Rod Lane: (to Tina, with a smile) Did you see his face?
    9. Glen Lantz: (mimicking Rod) 'Did you see his face?'

    1. Rod Lane: I had a hard-on this morning when I woke up Tina. Had your name written all over it.
    2. Tina Gray: There's four letters in my name, Rod. How can there be enough room on your joint for four letters?
    3. Rod Lane: Hey, up yours with a twirling lawnmower!
