Amrita Rao Biography

Coming from a very well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family, it was justby chance that Amrita walked in.... to audition for, "Fairever Face Cream"ad. film for which she was selected immediately out of over 60 girls.She made her cinematic debut in the 2002 film "Ab Ke Baras", but gainedrecognition only after the success of her 2003 film, "Ishq Vishq", in whichher portrayal as Payal earned her the girl-next door image. Success followedfor her in 2004 films like "Masti" and "Main Hoon Na". Her 2006 release,"Vivah" opposite Shahid Kapoor was a universal success despite its outdatedtheme. Her performance was well appreciated from critics.
