Andrea Bowen (born March 4, 1990) is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for playing Julie Mayer on Desperate Housewives.
Bowen was born in Columbus, Ohio. She started acting at a young age on Broadway. At the age of six Andrea enlivened her role of Cosette in Les Misérables, the youngest to ever play Cosette. She was also a member of the concert group The Broadway Kids, and a part of other Broadway Musical hits with a 1998 rendition of The Sound of Music, and in 2000 the portrayal of Tudor dynastic drama Jane Eyre.
In Hollywood, Andrea Bowen enjoys recurring roles in such shows as Nip/Tuck, One Tree Hill (with friend Sophia Bush), Boston Public and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. During a "goofy" Musical Comedy film version of Red Riding Hood, Andrea is one of "The Three Ashleys" who are enchanting if star-crossed. She also is the new voice of Young Faline in Bambi II, probably the youngest character she has ever played (Faline is roughly one year old in the film). She stood at five feet nine inches tall while voicing the dubs. In the North American version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the character 'Girl (with moogle doll)' is also voiced by her. While Desperate Housewives placemarks her young career; Ms. Bowen evolves also, and acts the part of Candace in the esoteric adventure film, Eye of the Dolphin (2006).
