Anna Maria Horsford (born March 6, 1948 in Harlem, New York, USA) is an African-American television and film actress. She is of Antiguan descent.
Horsford attended Manhattan's School of Performing Arts, where she studied and perfected her acting abilitites. Her first major role on television was portraying the character of Clara Jones on the television soap opera, Guiding Light in 1979. She has made several guest appearances in sitcoms such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sparks, Moesha,The Bernie Mac Show, and Girlfriends. She is known mostly for her portrayal of "Thelma Frye" on the sitcom Amen. That led to another prominent role on the sitcom The Wayans Bros, where she played Dee Baxter.
