Anna Tsuchiya is a Japanese singer, songwriter, model, and actress. Shewas born to a Russian-American father and Japanese mother.Tsuchiya was scouted by Seventeen magazine at age 14 to start a modellingcareer. She became very popular very fast. Even today she remains anin-demand model for magazines like Kera, Soup, Zipper, and other youth punkfashion magazines.Anna made her acting debut in Novala Takemoto's adapted runaway hitShimotsuma Monogatari (Kamikaze Girls) in 2004 as punk yanki IchigoShirayuri. Tsuchiya has also appeared in The Taste of Tea and provided thevoice of Lindsay Lohan's character Maggie Peyton in the Japanese dub ofHerbie: Fully Loaded. Her latest film is Sakuran, opening February 2007 inJapan.In 2002 Tsuchiya formed music group Spin Aqua with Kaz Iwaike. By 2003 theband had slipped into an infinite hiatus and disbanded in early 2004.Tsuchiya debuted as a solo artist during mid 2005. To date Tsuchiya hasreleased one mini album (Tast my Beat Remix), one album (Strip Me?), and 6singles.
