Anne-Marie Martin (born November 11 1957 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress and writer who is best known for playing Sgt. Dori Doreau in the American television comedy series Sledge Hammer! from 1986 to 1988.

Martin also played Gwen Davies on the soap opera Days of Our Lives in the early 1980s. Prior to 1980, she acted under the name "Eddie Benton" and appeared in films such as Prom Night and numerous TV series guest roles, such as Stella Breed, a paranormal with psychokinetic powers in an episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century entitled "Twiki is Missing". Prior to this appeared in H. G. Wells' The Shape of Things to Come, a low-budgeted science fiction film that capitalized on the popularity of Buck Rogers (Martin, billed once again as Eddie Benton, was made up to look almost identical to Erin Gray's Buck Rogers character, Wilma Deering.) She was also a regular on the short-lived 1977 series Rafferty opposite Patrick McGoohan.

In the early 1980s, she was praised for a Highway to Heaven episode she co-starred in where she and Victor French traded bodies. Alan Spencer, who created Sledge Hammer, loved this episode and chose her for the Doreau role; he also wrote an episode of the series that allowed her to, if not exactly change bodies with Sledge Hammer, at least impersonate him.

Martin married author Michael Crichton in 1987 and following the cancellation of Sledge Hammer! retired from television and film acting. In the 1990s, Martin co-wrote, with Crichton, the screenplay to the 1996 film Twister. The couple separated in 2001 and a divorce settlement was reached in 2003.

According to Sledge Hammer! creator Alan Spencer, she was reportedly considering reentering the acting field as of early 2005.
