Belinda Montgomery (born July 23, 1950 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) is a Canadian born actress who is perhaps best known as Mrs. Katherine Howser, the matriarch in the ABC medical comedy-drama Doogie Howser, M.D.. She had a starring role in the 1970s science-fiction show Man from Atlantis as Dr. Elizabeth Merrill and also had a recurring role as Caroline Crockett/Ballard in the 1980s cop show Miami Vice. Her other television credits include Dynasty, L.A. Law, JAG, and Ghost Whisperer, among other shows.
