Five Favourite Films with Richard Curtis
Richard Curtis has a plan. "What I've decided is to choose recent films," he explains to RT. "I do think that often people get stuck in always saying the five greatest films of all time, films they saw between the ages of seventeen and twenty-two, because that's when you're forming your opinions. I think I'll talk about modern films, which aren't necessarily the greatest films ever made, but are five great films." The Boat that Rocked is out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK this week and is soon to hit US cinemas retitled Pirate Radio. Read on to learn about the five films he can't do without.

Exclusive: State of Play - Director's Commentary
As State of Play readies for release in the UK, director Kevin Macdonald takes us through a gallery of behind-the-scenes stills from the production... "I was sent the script through the end of 2006 and I was somewhat dubious about the idea of turning such a good TV series into a film. Brad Pitt was attached at that time and I went to go and see him to talk about the possibility of doing it and we spent an afternoon chatting about it. What we both agreed on was that to set a film in the world of journalism was a wonderful idea. I've always loved films set in that world because you have a lot of excuses for such wonderful eccentric characters but without the clichés. We also thought that now was the time to make a film about the crisis in journalism and particularly in newspapers. We thought that was an interesting theme."

Five Favourite Films with Bill Nighy
There can be few actors better suited to starring in a film about the golden age of British rock and roll than Bill Nighy. No wonder, then, that he's front and centre as part of the ensemble cast of Richard Curtis' latest comedy, The Boat that Rocked. RT catches up with Nighy the day after the world premiere of The Boat that Rocked and he's remembering a late night that involved hanging out with one of his heroes, Paul McCartney. RT travels to New Zealand onto the set of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans to chat to star Bill Nighy about the complexities of fang wearing etiquette, wet, velvet, 'battle' skirt wearing and his repulsion of his own image. Fry & Serkis Sign Up to Be "Stormbreakers"
Andy "Gollum" Serkis and Stephen Fry are only the latest actors to sign on for the teen spy flick "Stormbreaker," says The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the series of books by Anthony Horowitz, "Stormbreaker" is about a reluctant teenage spy who, of course, gets into all sorts of wild adventures.

FilmFocus spent some time at the UK premiere of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," and editor Joe Uticihi was able to toss a few questions at character actor/fan favorite Bill Nighy ... and Bill delivered a pretty cool scoop indeed. Seems the actor has climbed aboard both of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequels, and he'll be playing a "very, very, very, very bad man" that goes by the name of Davey Jones.
