Billy Gray (born January 131938 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor best known as a child actor during the 1950s.
He was frequently seen in film and television in the 1950s. One early memorable role was as the boy who is befriended by the alien (Michael Rennie) in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still.
He appeared in an episode of Adventures of Superman called "Shot in the Dark", filmed in 1953. He is probably best remembered as "Bud" Anderson, the son on Father Knows Best, which ran on TV from 1954 through 1962.
Unable to find much acting work after Father Knows Best ended, he took up a new and successful career in motorcycle racing.
