Boyd Gaines is an American actor born on May 11, 1953. Gaines has received 3 Tony Awards:

He has also appeared in a number of films and television shows, including Fame, L.A. Law and Law & Order. However, he was best known for playing dental student (and later dentist) Mark Royer, who married Valerie Bertinelli's character Barbara Cooper on One Day at a Time.
