Bruce Abbott (born 28 July 1954 in Portland, Oregon) is an American actor. He has appeared in movies such as Re-Animator, Bad Dreams, The Prophecy II, Bride of Re-Animator and the TV series Dark Justice.

Bruce Abbott's career began as a dancer/actor in the famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, OR, where he spent three seasons in the late 1970s. In 1980, Bruce relocated from Portland to Hollywood ("in the middle of the actors' strike, and I didn't know ANYONE," he recalls). Shortly afterwards, he was cast as the villain in the movie "Tag." He met his future (first) wife, Linda Hamilton on the set. Theirs was a tempestuous, seven-year relationship which produced one child, Dalton (who can be seen in "Terminator II" as "Infant John Connor").

Bruce and Linda divorced circa 1989. That same year, on the Dallas (Texas) set of the TV movie "Trapped", Bruce met actress Kathleen Quinlan. They married April 12, 1994 and have one son.

Throughout his career, Bruce has been a popular guest star on many TV series ("Murder She Wrote", "Family Law", "Diagnosis: Murder", and more). He had a short-lived recurring role in the equally-short-lived series, "The Net" (based on the Bullock movie). He is a vivid actor equally comfortable on stage, the small or the big screen.

Bruce presently is semi-retired from acting, although he is not averse to playing the right role should it be offered. He is a gifted architect and artist and works in the custom design industry. (He has designed his last two homes.)

Of rumors about "House of Re-Animator" (the announced next film in the series), he says, "I think the Re-Animator saga may have gasped its last."
