Bruce Kimmel (born December 8, 1947 in Los Angeles, California) also known as Guy Haines, is an actor, writer, composer, and Grammy-nominated CD producer.
The first film he directed was The First Nudie Musical (1976). Also directed The Creature Wasn't Nice (1983), Prime Suspect (1989) and Murphy's Laws of Golf (1989).
Kimmel has written two mystery novels: Rewind and Writer's Block; and three books featuring protagonist Benjamin Kritzer. They are published through Authorhouse.
Kimmel produced records under the labels of Varese Sarabande and Fynsworth Alley, among them musical cast albums, solo albums by traditional pop artists, and compilation albums of show music, many of them to popular acclaim. His current label is Kritzerland, which has recently produced the soundtrack for the theatrical version of The Last Starfighter among others.
He has also written a play, a thriller, called Deceit (2006).
