Patrick Alan Lilley (b. August 2 1953), better known as Butch Patrick, was an American child actor best known for his role as Eddie Munster in the television show The Munsters (1964-1966) and the movie Munster, Go Home. He also played the main character Mark on Lidsville (1971-1973).

Patrick made several appearances on other shows during the 1960s, such as Mister Ed and Gunsmoke. He also appeared on eight episodes of My Three Sons as the character Gordon Dearing. More recently, he has appeared on The Simpsons playing himself, and on an episode of the reality show Star Dates.

In the 1980s, he formed a rock band called Eddie & The Monsters, and released a single entitled, "Whatever Happened to Eddie?" The song led to the MTV cable channel creating their show Basement Tapes, which gave exposure to unsigned bands.

Today, Patrick is the co-host of Macabre Theatre, which showcases classic horror films.

Like many sitcom actors from the 1960s, Patrick receives no residuals from reruns of The Munsters. This is documented in his upcoming book The Munsters: A Trip Down Mockingbird Lane. [1].

A favorite guest on The Howard Stern Show, Patrick recently appeared on September 25, 2006.

Trivia

  • Has a half-sister named Kerry Lynn Sprick.
