Trailer Bulletin: The Hills Have Eyes & When a Stranger Calls
There's been a bona-fide explosion of new movie trailers over the past week or two ... but this is the only one I've watched more than once, because I'm a desperately sick horror junkie. Director Simon West to Call a "Stranger"
Seems like every day brings news of a new horror remake, and The Hollywood Reporter delivers the latest. Sony's Screen Gems outlet is looking to hire Simon West ("Con Air," "Tomb Raider") to direct their remake of "When a Stranger Calls." The adaptation of the 1979 Carol Kane thriller was delivered by first-timer Jake Wadewall, and it seems like Sony is already pushing forward with a follow-up entitled "When a Stranger Returns."
