Carol Wayne Biography

Former professional skater Carol Wayne became an actress after an injury took her permanently from the ice. She appeared on television as a frequent guest of Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, and in a few feature films. With her statuesque figure and platinum blonde hair, she was easily recognizable. Wayne disappeared during the course of a vacation in Mexico in January 1985; her body turned up two days later, the apparent victim of an accidental drowning. She was only 39. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
