Charles Dorian Biography

A former vaudevillian, Charles Dorian became a minor supporting actor in Universal two-reel Westerns of the early '20s. His acting career going nowhere fast, Dorian went behind the camera later in the decade, functioning as an assistant to MGM director Clarence Brown. A trusted second unit director in the 1930s, Dorian filmed the rear projection skiing sequences for Greta Garbo's final film Two-Faced Woman (1942). He died of a heart attack while scouting second unit locations for the war epic Cry Havoc (1943), near Albuquerque, NM. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, Rovi
