Charles Schlatter (born May 1, 1966 in Englewood, New Jersey) is an American actor. He has starred in numerous TV series and films, but is perhaps best known for his role in American hit series Diagnosis Murder as Dr. Jesse Travis and his appearance in Police Academy: Mission to Moscow.

Early career

Charlie's first film appearance was in the Michael J. Fox film Bright Lights, Big City in 1988 and played the younger brother of Fox's character. He later starred in the largely successful Australian film, The Delinquents along side Kylie Minogue both playing the leading roles.

His highest profile starring role in an American film was in the 1988 release 18 Again!, in which his 18-year old character swapped body and mind with his 81-year old grandfather, played by George Burns. In 1990, he was also cast in the role of Ferris Bueller, for NBC's sitcom of Ferris Bueller (TV series) (based on the John Hughes movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off).

Both 18 Again! and the television series Ferris Bueller were poorly received by critics and audiences alike.

In the early 1990s, Schlatter began doing voices for many cartoon characters, including supplying additional voices to the cartoon Sonic the Hedgehog and Wally West a.k.a The Flash in the Superman: The Animated Series (an episode in the second season called Speed Demons). He also voices Tommy of Robot Boy, Kevin 11 of Ben 10 and Ace Bunny of Loonatics Unleashed.

Games

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence

Charlie was used for a video called Metal Gear Raiden: Snake Eraser in the Secret Theater section, of the second disc 'Persistence'. He does a lot more voice acting here.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Charlie was the voice actor for Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov in the video game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, although Raikov did not play a major role in the game, therefore only having several lines.

Ape Escape

He played the role of Specter in the game, Ape Escape 3.
