Cherry Rain (a.k.a. Stephanie Athena, Sunny Rain) is an adult film star and model, known for her youthful figure and appearance. She has acted in both straight hardcore and lesbian films, although the bulk of her work falls into the latter category.

Background

Cherry was born July 2, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She grew up there, attending school and in her late teens working at a local deli/grocery store. Unhappy with this as a career choice (and possibly being influenced by the culture of Las Vegas), she considered everything from cocktail waitressing to stripping to being a magician's assistant. She eventually began modelling for an adult website and magazines.

Film

The first time Cherry Rain appeared on film was in Real Sex Magazine 33 opposite Jay Ashley. She then appeared in many straight scenes opposite adult film producer Ed Powers, and began to focus more on lesbian scenes. For a short time she co-hosted a radio show on KLSX in LA called Bedtime Stories with Ed. She continued modelling and was a favorite model of well-known erotic photographer Suze Randall.

In 2003 Rain appeared on the Howard Stern Show and she began to direct and produce her own adult films, launching Cherry Rain Productions. To date, she has directed 2 films, Cherry Rain's New Pussy and Cherry Rain's Girls On Parade.

In 2005 Rain married Paul Fishbein, founder and publisher of Adult Video News (AVN), the leading adult industry trade magazine. She now lives in the Hollywood Hills with her husband.
