Daniel Lapaine is an actor born in 1970 in Sydney, Australia. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1992 and is perhaps best known for his role as David Van Arckle, the hesitant husband in the 1994 film Muriel's Wedding. He played the part of Timothy Allerton in Agatha Christie's Poirot 'Death on the Nile' in 2004.
A notable role other than that of his role as David Van Arckle; Lapaine starred in the movie The 10th Kingdom as Prince Wendaell, ruler of the 4th Kingdom.
He married British actress Fay Ripley in 2001, and together they have a daughter called Parker who was born in 2002. Their second child, a boy they've named Sonny, was born in October 2006.
