You're probably well aware that filmmaker Frank Darabont wrote an entire screenplay for "Indiana Jones 4" that got dumped because George Lucas didn't dig it. And, because everyone keeps asking him about the script, he keeps expressing a small dose of resentment about it.

Master filmmaker Steven Spielberg has averaged a movie a year since the year 2000, so we understand if the guy needs to take a few months vacation, but (as usual) the guy's back burner is absolutely stuffed with alluring projects ... not the least of which is the ravenously anticipated "Indiana Jones 4."

Spielberg Puts Koepp to Work on "Indy 4"
During his Oscar coverage, Fox's Roger Friedman got to share a few words with director Steven Spielberg, and the bullet points seem to be these: 1) the filmmaker wants to take some time off right now, 2) "Indiana Jones 4" looks to be the next project on his plate, and 3) Jeff Nathanson's screenplay has been handed over to mega-scribe David Koepp for fine-tuning.

Koepp Sells "Ghost Town" to DreamWorks
One of Hollywood's most talented (and well-paid) screenwriters, David Koepp, will pen the romantic comedy "Ghost Town" for his old pal Steven Spielberg and the DreamWorks gang, Variety reports. The popular screenwriter is known for a series of blockbuster hits, most notably "Jurassic Park," "Mission: Impossible," "Panic Room," "Spider-Man," and the upcoming "War of the Worlds."
