David Robbins (born 1957 in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, USA) is an artist best known for his exhibition entitled Talent.

Video work includes: Improv Comedy; Studying the Lie, (with Bobby Ciraldo, Andrew Swant, and Ray Chi), winner of the Milwaukee Film Festival's 24-Hour Video Competition; The Ice Cream Social, winner of the Sundance TV Lab competition; an episode of The Street for Fox Television; and Concerned Homeowners' Hotline with Ian Frazier in 1987.

Has written a number of books, including: The Velvet Grind: Essays, Interviews, Satires 1984-2005; The Ice Cream Social; The Dr. Frankenstein Option; Foundation Papers from the Archives of the Institute for Advanced Comedic Behavior; Prose and Cons; The Camera Believes Everything
