Duke Mitchell (1926â??1981) was the erstwhile partner in the short-lived comedy team of Duke Mitchell & Sammy Petrillo. Their only film together was Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla, the first time that Mitchell had been credited for a film role. Since then, Mitchell starred in a variety of film roles, but has a limited filmography. In 1978, Mitchell wrote, directed and starred in The Executioner, a b-movie about the mafia. Mitchell died of a heart attack on December 2, 1981.
