Earl Felton Biography

American screenwriter Earl Felton began receiving screen credit around 1936. Felton spent several years with the Warner Bros. "B"-picture unit, working on such economical efforts as Man Hunt (1936) and Prison Nurse (1940). He later shuttled between Columbia, 20th Century-Fox (where he provided the original story for Preston Sturges' Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend) and RKO. At the latter studio, he worked on one of the best-ever "B" pictures of the 1950s, The Narrow Margin. Earl Felton's later credits included Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) and his unbilled contributions to Stanley Kramer's Pride and the Passion (1957). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
