Edmund Beloin Biography

American screenwriter Edmund Beloin started out as a med student at NYU and Columbia universities before becoming a writer of fiction and a literary critic. From 1936 to 1943 he wrote gags for the Jack Benny radio show. He continued working for Benny when the comedian switched to films. He continued as a comedy scenarist in feature films through the early 1960s. He then began contributing scripts for popular TV sitcoms of the mid-'60s, including Family Affair, The Lucy Show, and My Three Sons. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
