Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is an English actress known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, acting in the eight feature films and related properties between 1999 and 2011. Her other film roles include 2008's The Tale of Despereaux, and 2011's My Week with Marilyn.
Watson has been involved with fashion in addition to acting. At age fifteen, she became the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine. Since that time she has modeled for Burberry and Lancôme, and volunteered as a 'creative advisor' for People Tree, releasing a line of fair trade clothing in 2010. Along with on-set tutoring while filming the Harry Potter films, Watson attended Headington School, a private all-girls academy in Oxford. She enrolled in Providence Rhode Island's Brown University in 2009. As a result of her role as Hermione, she is one of the highest paid actors in the world. In 2010, she was 14th on Vanity Fair's list, having earned over an estimated $30 million the previous year.
