Frank Wead Biography

Before becoming a noted author and screenwriter, Frank W. Wead was a distinguished pilot for the U.S. Navy during WWI and was a key force in strengthening the Navy's air corps with technical innovations. An accident left him paralyzed and ended his military career. Wead's writings almost always centered on war and military life.
