Gene Washington (born January 14, 1947 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) was a NFL player for many years who played for the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions as a wide receiver. He also played football for Stanford University. He was a member of the fraternity Delta Tau Delta, and was the first black member in the whole organization. Currently, he is the director of football operations for the NFL. He has two children, a daughter, Kelly Washington who currently attends UCLA and a son, Daniel Washington who attends Franklin High School.
