Giuseppe Amato Biography

Giuseppe Amato began his career in the Italian film industry during the silent era. He then began working as a distributor of American films in Italy. In 1932, he began producing and occasionally directing pictures. In 1943, Amato became one of Italy's most influential producers and launched the careers of many distinguished filmmakers, including Vittorio De Sica.
