Greg Grunberg (born Gregory P. Grunberg on July 11, 1966 in Los Angeles, California) is an American television actor. He is married to Elizabeth Grunberg and has 3 children. He is best-known for his television roles as Sean Blumberg on Felicity (1998-2002) and as Eric Weiss on Alias (2001-2006). Both of these shows were produced by his life-long best friend, J.J. Abrams. In 2006, he began a starring role as Matt Parkman on the NBC series Heroes.

Career

Grunberg left Alias as a regular to star on the NBC sit-com, Grand Union. Since 2003, Abrams had planned a series called The Catch about a bounty hunter, starring Grunberg in the lead role. Suggested for both the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 seasons, the series was never produced; however, a pilot episode was shot. Abrams also cast Grunberg in a cameo role in the pilot of his 2004 series Lost. Grunberg returned for the first-season finale, but his scenes were cut for time, and were included on the season 1 DVD set. To those who had followed the Grunberg-Abrams relationship, it was not surprising to see him appear in a small role in Mission: Impossible III , which Abrams directed.

Grunberg has also guest starred on the hit TV Show House. He has expressed interest in appearing in Star Trek XI, which Abrams will be producing; however it is unknown what role he intends to play.
