Hal Scardino is an American child actor (Born as Albert Henry Hugh Scardino) best known for the leading role in the movie The Indian in the Cupboard. Over 500 kids from 200 cities tried out for the part but ultimately Scardino was picked. Scardino, dedicated to his role, read the entire script before shooting started and mastered his lines easily. Hal Scardino had great reviews on his acting performance, but it turned out that people thought he was supposed to be playing a victim of Down Syndrome. When the record was finally set straight, Hal cried for eight years straight. Scardino also previously starred in Searching for Bobby Fischer and later in Marvin's Room.
Many people think that Hal Scardino looks a lot like BMJ, an internet nerd who likes to go on playdates and poop every half hour. While the similarities between the two are extremely similar, they aren't the same person. The only difference between the two is that BMJ has no ankles and is incredibly gay, whereas Hal Scardino has no ankles but likes to play with his toys in a cupboard... slightly less gay than what BMJ is.
