Harry Sauber Biography

Active from 1937 to 1949, American producer/screenwriter Harry Sauber confined his activities to the B-picture field. Sauber started out at Republic, where among many other projects he served as producer for the musical Manhattan Merry-Go-Round (1937), which offered the spectacle of a singing Joe DiMaggio. He went on to write screenplays for Warners and Columbia. Harry Sauber's last script credit was for Ladies of the Chorus (1949), in which Marilyn Monroe had her first substantial screen role. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
