Indira Varma (born 1973 in Bath, Somerset, England) is an actress of Indian and Swiss descent. Before her rise to fame she was a member of Musical Youth Theatre Company. She has had many television and film roles, including 1996's Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love and 2004's Bride and Prejudice, and the young Roman wife Niobe during the first season of BBC/HBO's historical drama series Rome.
In October 2006 she played Suzie Costello in the first episode, "Everything Changes", of BBC Three's science-fiction drama series Torchwood. She now appears as Dr. Adrienne Holland in the CBS medical drama 3 lbs. which premiered on November 14 2006 and was cancelled on November 30, 2006 due to poor ratings.
