James Edward Burrows (b. December 30, 1940, Los Angeles) is a prolific American television director who has been working in television since the 1970s. He is a graduate of Oberlin College.

Burrows has been nominated for 15 Directors Guild of America awards, and for an Emmy Award every year since 1980, excluding 1997.
He is the son of playwright and television personality Abe Burrows and is the second cousin to the contemporary artist Jordan Wolfson (b. 1980).
