James William Forbes Redmond (born 24 November 1971 in London, England) is a British actor. He currently lives in Bristol with his wife Yvette.

James' rise to fame began when he started modelling in April 1994, after being spotted in Milan by fashion scout Calvin Klein. After a number of years on the catwalk, James gave up modelling and decided to pursue a career on the small screen. Following a string of commercials, he signed up for acting lessons and, almost immediately, was offered a part in Channel 4â??s Hollyoaks.

A failed stint of presenting on ITVâ??s SMTV Live was followed by a role in Sky One's steamy drama, Mile High. He is now noted for his current role as Abs Denham in the BBC One medical drama Casualty.
