Jean Hugo (born 3 December 1975) is a South African golfer.
He played on the European Tour, and his best season was in 2001 when he finished 34th on the Order of Merit. Jean matriculated at Paul Roos gymnasium in Stellenbosch South Africa in 1993 and graduated three years later with a BA degree from the University of Stellenbosch prior to becoming a professional golfer.Jean Hugo is the youngest son of organic chemist Professor Victor Hugo and Esme Hugo both of who were active in sport and sport administration. Hugo also excelled in rugby and cricket before choosing golf as a career.
Amateur
Jean Hugo was one of the most successful amateur golfers in South Africa having won most of the prestigeous amateur titles. He represented South Africa in several test matches.
