Paul W.S. Anderson Choosing Between "Death Race 3000" and "Castlevania"
Filmmaking partners Paul W.S. Anderson (director) and Jeremy Bolt (producer) look to have their hands pretty full these days. In addition to their "DOA: Dead or Alive," which was directed by Corey Yuen, the duo also have an interesting pair of projects coming up soon: a remake of Roger Corman's "Death Race 2000" and a big-screen adaptation of the original "Castlevania" video game.

Some Juicy New Tidbits on the "DOA" Action Flick
It seems like I first saw a bootleg trailer for "DOA: Dead or Alive" about five years ago, but the flick looks to be (finally) penciled in for an August release date. The PG-13 girl-centric action flick boasts a rather colorful cast, but the producers seem to be most pleased about Jaime Pressly's newfound popularity, thanks mainly to her work on the hit sitcom "My Name Is Earl."

"Resident" Regulars Line Up
Variety reports that both Oded Fehr and Sienna Guillory will join Milla Jovovich and return for Resident Evil: Extinction, the second sequel in a series produced by the genre-centric Paul W.S. Anderson.

Dimension to Deliver "Dead or Alive" Adaptation
Seems that every studio is lining up to get their very own video game movie adaptation underway, and Dimension Pictures is only the latest. The studio will distribute the movie based on "Dead or Alive" some time in the fall of 2006.

Two More "Resident Evil" Sequels Are On the Way...
The Hollywood Reporter brings news that producers Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt have not one but two new "Resident Evil" adventures in the pipeline. The third entry, "Resident Evil: Afterlife," will shoot in Australia before the end of the year, while the fourth chapter (currently known only as "Resident Evil 4") well lens in Japan.
