This article is about the comedian. For the baseball player, see Jim Brewer.

Jim Breuer (born June 21, 1967 in Valley Stream, New York) is an American comedian best known as a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 1998. He has also had major roles in films such as Half Baked (1998) and the short film American Dummy (2002). In 2002 he had a small role in MTV Icon: Metallica.

On Saturday Night Live, Breuer was best known for his Goat Boy skits and his impression of Joe Pesci. Pesci later made a surprise appearance on the show to "confront" Breuer.

Breuer was a popular sit-in comedian on the Opie and Anthony Show for many years during their WNEW tenure. He was arguably the most popular comedian addition to the show, leading to "Breuer Bits" being played whenever the show was on hiatus. More recently Breuer can be heard regularly on weekdays on Sirius Satellite Radio "Raw Dog Comedy" channel in his own show, Breuer Unleashed. He credits XM radio host Ron Bennington, of The Ron and Fez Show, for helping get his career started.

He is number 91 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest standups of all time.

In 2003, Breuer performed at the University of Washington Freshman Orientation Ceremony. He enraged onlookers by appearing on stage under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and incorporating into a largely unplanned monologue the word "faggot". He immediately began defending his use of the word and asserted that, "the kid that misses the kickball in P.E. class, that's a faggot". He also called for the incorporation of that word into common English vernacular. He was booed off the stage.
