JM J. Bullock AKA Jim J. Bullock (born James Jackson Bullock on February 9, 1955 in Casper, Wyoming) is an American actor.
Bullock grew up in Odessa, Texas. He originally wanted to be a preacher and attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Career
Bullock became a notable entertainment figure in the 1980s when he co-starred on two sitcoms Too Close for Comfort, and ALF (only the last season from 1989-1990 as Neal Tanner)
After the sitcom went off the air, Bullock remained active with theatre, TV, and film work. He was the voice of Queer Duck in the animated series of cartoons of the same name which have appeared on both the internet and the TV channel Showtime. He briefly hosted a talk show with ex-televangelist, Tammy Faye Messner. He was also a regular on the 1986 version of Hollywood Squares as a panelist and occasional substitute host. In 2000, Bullock was a regular panelist on the revival of I've Got a Secret. Bullock currently is on the national tour of the Broadway production Hairspray.
Bullock has a recurring role as Mr. Monroe, a teacher at the fictional James K. Polk Middle School on the Nickelodeon live action sitcom Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.
Personal life
Bullock is openly gay. The characters he plays are often flamboyant, or have an effeminate manner.
He was diagnosed as being HIV positive [1] in 1985 and is known as a longtime survivor of the virus.
