Jim Stafford (born 16 January 1944 in Eloise, Florida) was a comedian and musician in the 1970s and had a couple of semi-novelty hits with four songs, Spiders and Snakes, Swamp Witch Hattie, Wildwood Weed and the controversial My Girl, Bill, and one called "Turn Lose Of My Leg". He continues to work as a comedian in Branson, Missouri performing at the Jim Stafford Theater.
In the 1960s, Stafford was in a Florida band which also featured singer-songwriter Lobo and future legend Gram Parsons.
