John Yohan Cho (조요한, born June 16, 1972 in Seoul, South Korea) is a Korean American actor. He was raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated in 1996 from University of California, Berkeley with a BA degree in English.
His big break was an ancillary role in the 1999 comedy American Pie, in which he popularized the slang term "MILF". His most successful starring role to date was as Harold Lee in 2004's Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. He was one of the stars of the short-lived sitcom Off Centre and guest-starred on Charmed as a ghost on The WB. He was also a co-star of the now-defunct Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential.
Some of Cho's other significant roles in the entertainment industry include supporting roles in the Eddie Murphy-Steve Martin comedy Bowfinger, American Beauty, Evolution, and Down to Earth.
In 2002, he had a starring role in the ensemble cast of Better Luck Tomorrow, a drama/dark comedy focusing on the trevails of a group of Asian-Americans living in Southern California who are academically successful, but socially discontented, and as a result engage in wantonly violent, criminal behavior.
Cho is also the lead singer for an Los Angeles band comprised of former UCB and USC students calling themselves Left of Zed.
John Cho will next be seen starring in NBC's new comedy The Singles Table in September 2006.
He is married to actress Kerri Higuchi.
