John Mallory Asher (born on 13 January 1971) is an American actor, director, writer and cinematographer.

Asher was born in Los Angeles, California to director/producer William Asher and actress Joyce Bulifant. He is perhaps best known for his performance as Gary, on the USA Networks' series spinoff of the movie Weird Science.

Asher married Jenny McCarthy on 11 September 1999 but the couple separated in 2005. They have a son, Evan, who was born in 2002.
