Johnny Mark Galecki is an American actor. He was born on April 30, 1975 in Bree, Belgium. His father was a member of the U. S. Air Force stationed there. Johnny moved to Chicago, Illinois, with his family when he was three years old.
His best known role was as David Maurice Healy (first introduced as Kevin Healy) in the U. S. sitcom Roseanne. His character was the soft-spoken boyfriend/husband of Darlene, the droll, tomboyish second daughter of the Connor family played by Sara Gilbert. He also played Rusty in the Christmas film, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Galecki also had sizeable roles in the 1997 thriller, I Know What You Did Last Summer and the 1998 dramedy The Opposite of Sex.
He most recently played the half-brother of the main characters, sisters Hope Shanowski and Faith Fairfield, in the TV Sitcom Hope & Faith. Galecki also appeared as a guest star in an episode in the first season of My Name is Earl.
Galecki is currently (fall/winter 06-07) starring in the Broadway play The Little Dog Laughed as Alex, a male prostitute. Galecki originated the role earlier in 2006 at Second Stage Theatre. The widely popular comedy by Douglas Carter Beane had a very successful run at Second Stage and has now moved to the Cort Theatre.
