Southland Tales Stills, Trailer Info
It's got what might be the largest cast and most difficult-to-describe storyline of any major motion picture this year, so of course, Richard Kelly's Southland Tales is being observed closely by many film lovers as it gets closer to its November release date. FirstShowing has been down in the trenches all along, and is now offering some new details about Southland's trailer -- and a pile of stills from the movie.

"Southland Tales" to Hit U.S. -- In One Form or Another
Several websites have reported the news, but we'll throw the linkage to the fine folks at Movie City News, cuz I'm pretty sure they broke the scoop. Apparently, Richard Kelly's "Southland Tales," which was met with much derision and disbelief at the Cannes Film Festival, will be getting a North American release courtesy of Sony Pictures... We're just not sure which version we'll be getting.

Three Ladies Sign Up for Kelly's "Southland Tales"
Richard ("Donnie Darko") Kelly's next film is the wonderfully bizarre-sounding "Southland Tales," and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker's just enlisted Cheri Oteri, Amy Poehler, and Jill Ritchie to join his (rather fantastic) ensemble cast.

Schneider & Spade Receive Some "Dynamite" Bench Support
Variety brings us some colorful casting news from the upcoming Rob Schneider / David Spade comedy "Benchwarmers." Jared Hess (yes, "Napoleon Dynamite" himself) has signed on, joining a supporting cast that already includes Jon Lovitz and Craig Kilborn.
