Jon Sanders (born 1949 in Perth, Western Australia) is an Australian yachtsman. He became famous in 1988 after sailing three times around the world non-stop. Previously, he had sailed once around the world, east to west, mostly in the tropics. Then he left in 1981 and sailed twice around the world non-stop, west to east, in the southern ocean.

He grew up Perth, and in his teens and twenties, worked with shearing teams for 17 years. Initially he was a wool classer/shearing contractor, shearing team overseer and later owner of his own shearing team.

A road in Osborne Park, Western Australia is named after him.

He is characterised by his well built stature and his shy and reserved demeanour and is a close friend and mentor of fellow Western Australian solo-sailor David Dicks.
