Jonathan E. Silverman (born August 5, 1966, in Los Angeles, California) is an American actor, perhaps best known for his roles in the TV series Gimme A Break!, as well as in the films Brighton Beach Memoirs (a film version of the first play of Neil Simon's Eugene Trilogy), Caddyshack II, and Weekend at Bernie's.
Jonathan Silverman also played the title role in the short-lived mid-1990s television sitcom The Single Guy, which aired on NBC. He also appeared on CSI: Miami (in a 3rd season episode called "Under the Influence"). He stars in a new sitcom, In Case of Emergency which is scheduled as a mid-season replacement on ABC for 2006.
Jonathan is engaged to actress Jennifer Finnigan who has appeared in the series The Bold and the Beautiful and Close to Home.
